Disputing Medical Collections are impactful when used persistently and when referencing consumer law. Medical debt is stressful but can be removed from your credit report, per federal law, even if it is yours. Be sure to edit the letter to include your personal information. NEVER hand sign any letters to the credit bureaus and type your signature in a cursive font. Be sure to mail your letter certified mail to the specific credit bureau(s) who is reporting your medical debt. Note: Not all collections are reporting across each credit bureau.
Be sure to pull your credit report, track your letter by sending it certified mail with a tracking number through the USPS, and recheck your credit report every 35 days from when your letter was received by the credit bureau.
